60FPS Lock [PC]

Hello there,

So I have a bit of an odd problem. My game won't stay locked at 60FPS. I have no problems at 60FPS, but I also don't want it to go beyond that limit, because it's not an FPS game, so 60 is fine. However though, whenever I try to launch advanced launch properties, the game still goes well beyond 170FPS (I have a GTX 1080 and 144hz panel.), The reason why I don't want this is because it makes my GPU go all the way up to 75c, and while that's perfectly normal for gaming, I have my fan curves set at 75% fan speed when it reaches that temp, and you can tell the fans are pretty loud.


Any help would be appreciated. I just don't wanna tax my CPU and GPU is all. 170FPS is unnecessary for this game. I tried doing settings in the NVidia control panel, trying to do CFG settings. Nothing works. The game still goes over 60.

    You know how to work with msi afterburner and riva tuner? If you don't know this program already just try it out. And FPS caps can also be set with NVIDIA Inspector if you know it. IDK if this game allows for custom launch options or console commands if the game has it try to set them up there. There are various options available to achieve the same thing. I like msi afterburner with riva tuner the most but you can find out what works best for you.
