Thank you for the posts, it sounds like an issue with calibration, the game not detecting the maximum trigger pull as maximum throttle. As the workaround shows, the game is picking up a binary input.
There are a fair few games where you can play without detecting an issue as they don't require a full trigger pull, but Heat seemingly does.
@KILLAZDUDE101 You mention trying a 2nd pad, can you try a system restart from the power menu before trying it again?

The controller is all about that i was using one of my dualshock and i had this problem when i switch my controler it work perfectly

The accessibility layout is in the playstation general settings > accessibility >

I bought the standard edition last week and I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I can't get past the 2nd gear with my 2nd car that's in garage unless I change the buttons. I hate having to go back and forth with this when I want to play other games. I hope a fix for this is on it's way.

Hey EA how about a real fix to this problem? it's not supposed to be fixed by cheating the PS4 controller accesibility setup.
