Audio stutters and lag on PC

Question

I preordered remastered and installed it as soon as it came out on PC, and from the beginning I've been having really bad audio issues - the audio in this game is constantly looping, stuttering, and glitching, and it makes it really hard to play. It happens at completely random intervals of time, and sometimes it gets so bad I have to reboot the game.

It's not like I cant handle the game, I have a GTX 1050 Ti and an i5-7300 HQ. I do meet the recommended specs - it looks like a problem with the game, not my hardware.

Anyone else on PC having this issue?

@racinglanoix Yeah, I've been having this issue and a few more. The game becomes unstable when enabling cross-play, and it runs like crap while the 2010 version runs buttery smooth.

@SleekBustah So are you saying that there aren't audio issues when you disable cross-play?

@racinglanoix Its almost 2022 and still having this issue. I guess they dont care anymore...
