Bearings Selling for $98?
I tried to sell some surplus bearings and I'm only offered $98 rather than the normal $1050. All other parts I checked are going at their proper rates. This is since the last update. Any ideas?
The reason why Bearings and some other rare materials (or pretty much a whole bunch of materials) give a cheap resale value is they're not used along with the respective coloured Conversion Kits.
For example, compare the rare materials that are used along with rare Conversion Kits and the rare materials that aren't used along with rare Conversion Kits.
Rare materials used along with Conversion Kits:
1. Block for Engine
2. Dump Pipe for Turbo
3. Pressure Plate for Gearbox
4. Bead Wire for Wheels
5. Airflow Meter for ECU
6. Regulator for Nitrous
Rare materials aren't used along with Conversion Kits:
1. Bearing
2. Hose
(Not going to list them all as this is just an example)
You'll notice the rare materials that are used along with rare Conversion Kits give a lot more resale value than rare materials that aren't used along with rare Conversion Kits.
I find this uncanny myself, but it's just the way it is...
There may be some link to how they are used and their value.
What I am saying is that I buy a lot of crates and have been selling excess parts since I started playing (~2 months) and until recently ALL parts of the same color sold for the SAME price. I have sold virtually every part several times and it was always the same UNTIL RECENTLY.
Selling Price:
Legendary - $1750 all
Epic - $1225 all, Kits $1750
Rare - $1050 (except bearings & hoses $98), Kits $1750
Uncommon - $263 (except gasket & relay $74)
Common - $175 (except clamp, fuse, mount, spring $61)
I don't keep any uncommon or common kits so I can't price them.
I just noticed as I was compiling this list that parts that have decreased in value are parts that I have purchased a lot of in the Black Market. I think that is the key.
I should have added to my previous post for clarity:
None of the parts that have maintained their price is offered in the Black Market and EVERY part that IS offered in the Black Market has a much lower price.
It may have always been this way and I never noticed because I used every part until recently when I got a glut of bearings that I didn't need. That's when I noticed the price difference.
OK, I think I'm satisfied. 🙂
@ruf997tt Fasteners also have a $61 resale value.

I didn't have any in my inventory to verify but further proves my point as they too can be purchased on the Black Market.
