Broken exhaust flames

Summarize your bug The exhaust flames seem to work correctly only 50% of the time. During daytime this mechanic works most of the time, but at night I often see the reflection of the exhaust pop but not the actual flame. The surrounding area also gets lit up which is very off-putting.
What car were you using? I've noticed this occurs mostly on lower powered cars. High performance engines with the more exaggerated flames do tend to work correctly, most of the time. Though even with my high powered cars this bug still shows up from time to time.

What was the last event you played? Doesn't seem relevant to my problem. I can notice this even inside the garage, just outside of the garage or at the start of any race. Seems pretty random to me.
Was it a day or a night event? Night Event
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try any lower powered car, for example: Honda S2000. Try revving it in the garage, most of the time you'll notice the flames don't align to the sound or won't even show up at all. This is very noticable at night just after leaving the garage.
What happens when the bug occurs? Broken exhaust flame mechanic. exhaust pop is audible and even visible in car and wetspot reflections on the road, but not in the actual game space.
What do you expect to see? Properly aligned car exhaust pops.
