BRR - Something's not right!

Well, another reason I am quite happy with a couple of BRR races per day, not aiming for the top spots. It just does not happen that often down here :-)

Since none of my cars is yet eligible for tuning (it may take quite a few weeks to farm those scanners, and it is cash intensive as well), how can you tell whether the opponent is tuned or untuned?

And just one small notice - I've also witnessed an adversary blasting past me like on steroids, but almost always it was after a mistake I've made - I don't always feel the change of pace it during driving, but sometimes speed drops by 100 kmph or even more.

@HeretikJirka you'll know if the ghost is a tuned car as there is i little banner that comes up under the persons name saying "tuned"

When you enter a race, if your 'Ghost' opponent's car is tuned, you will see a badge appended to your opponents details before the race, which says 'Tuned'.

Of course, if you make a mistake, it's going to affect your run and your opponent will most likely swish past you like you're looking for parking, because their speed hasn't dropped (assuming they didn't make a mistake at the same time). So it's reasonable to expect your opponent to fly past you if you make a mistake.

What's totally unreasonable, is if you are racing a 'stock' CCX for example and you have a maxed out CCX, with a perfect start and a clean run, there should be no way your opponent could whistle past you if you're driving well, because their PR is the same or less than yours. Of course, if you drive badly, then your opponent will overtake you.

I've witnessed so called 'stock' opponents overtake me in a straight line when I'm at Nitro max speed on a perfect run. That shouldn't be possible.

I guess Jony may disagree here... that mistake can be as subtle as too much of a drifting angle or not hitting a nitro at the right time or on the contrary hitting the nitro at the wrong time. I have way too little experience with that, but cannot but notice that such speedy overtakes do happen on certain parts of the track, which leads me to believe I do ride that last section wrong. It has never happened to me that with a perfect start opponent breeze off. But after drifting a corner or a couple of those, it may be that even under a nitro I am slower - and the reason may be that the other guy have not lost as much speed as I did.

@HeretikJirka @WildeKnight07 i definately think something is dodgy in brr, how is it that you can run a race following almost the same line as youve raced many times before and not made any mistakes and yet your race time will be over a second slower than best time

@richieluv76 as I've said earlier, I do not stress much about BRR, so I do not have such an observation. Since they introduced sponsorship rewards and more info, I do race BRR more (mostly those 15 races/day) and see my PBs to drop, gradually. What would somehow interest me more than SP of my adversary is how comes his ride I am facing among his other rides - whether its a PB, a *up or something in between. Or do we know how the game is giving us those races? I have won several races against opps with SP of 500+ more than I did, which gives a good bunch of points. On the other end is facing a good race of an opponent with much lower SP - even a small mistake costs way too much.
