Summarize your bug randomly during night races, the game crashes at set points I have the latest Nvidia drivers and latest windows update I've used the repair feature in origin and tried the "update game" feature and restarted my computer many times
What car were you using? BMW m3 06

What was the last event you played? cross over
Was it a day or a night event? Night Event
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? follow the set route and once you exit the tunnel and start to cross the highway the game freezes and the audio keeps playing then it crashes
What happens when the bug occurs? the game freezes and audio keeps playing no inputs are taken and it crashes this happens in multiple places yet I haven't experienced during any day activities or if I'm in a menu it happens in free roam as well
What do you expect to see? the game continues as normal

I got this problem too, both races during night freezes and crashed.

I reinstalled the game and it helped a bit but it still does it once in a while
Are you getting any error messages after the game crashes?

I’m playing on ps4 and the first night races freezes and a code appears the code is (CE-34878-0) if anyone has information please I got the game 4 hours ago and it sucks that I can’t play

I have the same issue, after the tutorial ends and you are able to choose from day or night for the first time. I choose day go to any race and after it starts I get about 100 meteres and it crashed or freezes. This happens every time no matter what race. Reinstalling the game seems to fix it but then I returned to garaged, went out again and the races started crashing again. I have updated drives and I am uploading my crash files to drop box cause for what ever reason I cant even upload the crash reports here because its an unsupported file type.

Can confirm the game freezes on a black screen too when i tried the first dex mission, so basically all I can do is free roam
Same issue, mine freezes and after a while black screens at night and day which is even more annoying. Sometimes it goes back to origin and other times I have to task manager it.
Totally random, can be playing for 5 hours before it crashes down to less than 10mins in other times.
No specific race either, just completely random, really frustrating, especially at night when you're trying to level up and you just lose all the xp because it freezes during a race before you want go back to the garage.
Was hoping that they would do a launch day patch to try and fix this but no...
Reinstalling the game now in hopes that it might fix it.

Reinstall did nothing. Stills lock up and freezes before crash for no reason.
Every other game I own works fine 0 crashes even other EA games, it's just need for speed with this issue. Very annoying...

I’m having the same issue during crossover and ultra sharp on the PS4 ultra sharp worked fine during my time with the ea access trial but is now causing crashes it seems to be related to my vehicle I was using the Mazda rx7 went back to the mustang I started with and both events ran without crashes
I am having similar problems played with the corvet dlc car that cannot be costumized by looks played it until i was lvl 35 then i choosed another car, painted it put decals on it and now the game randonmmly is freezing then its crashing to desktop this is extremely weird.
Had same issues. Would freeze and crash at the same spot 100% time with my 1996 MX-5. For me the problem seemed to be too many decals. Removing all decals and restarting the game fixed it for me. Played for like 8 hours avoiding too complicated liveries and everything seems to work fine.

- @seth999666 Try turning off Ambient Occlusion, my friend fixed it like that..
