How do you fix error code dr1001 on need for speed payback

No way. They won't fix it. Looks like they don't care. They haven't updated the game since June 2018. Updates and multiplayer have been crap since Ghost took over NFS saga.

    I'm on Xbox here. It is still not working, I can connect to the hangout if I want. I can do casual speed lists, in fact even still they're instant queue. As soon as I try to play ranked (it's the last achievement I need for completion) I am disconnected and get the dr1001 error code. This is beyond frustrating.

      Your best solution for you is contact The vendor for where you purchased the game at, and see if they will exchange the game with you. It sounds like a corrupt disc to me. 

      Also, another idea is contact Xbox and make sure your license for online play is still currently covered for you. 

      Something as simple as a bad online license or corrupt game disc could give anyone a true fit. 

      Another idea is make sure the country you live in is serviced for support and is not on a blocked Government list. 

      EA won't support coverage in many countries outside of America.

        Hey thanks for getting back to me. I own the game digitally, so there's no bad disc. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled. My Xbox Live Gold is more than good. Like I said I can connect to the casual speedlist server, I can connect to the free roam server, just not the ranked server. I am in the USA, so my country is good under EA's terms and conditions and rules and coverage area, excetera.

        There are no reasonable answers to this, especially because two of the three servers in this game work just fine. I can confirm that I can also connect to other EA servers in multiple there games just fine. I'm not in Iran, I'm not in any of the other countries listed. I'm in the USA and looking for a reasonable answer. I've scoured the internet, I've attempted to contact EA support but to no avail.

        I'm a completionist, the only achievement I have left is this one achievement to do with the ranked playlist. This really sucks for me and there are no reasonable answers to be found anywhere.
