Cannot connect to EA server - Need for Speed Rivals

I installed NFS Rivals using a redemption code which was recognised fine. When trying to launch the game it tells me that it cannot connect to the EA Server using my PC and account. Can anyone help? ...

Same problem here on Xbox One, 4 years later. Are the developers not taking their customers seriously?
