Can't get past the intro
As soon as the intro cut scene ends my car is instantly thrown into reverse with the e-brake on. I cannot change any settings to allow my car to move. I do not have any controllers installed. I have attempted using a different keyboard and mouse. I have gotten to the point where I am ready to uninstall this game.

I would try this:
1) Unplug all USB devices from your computer except Keyboard;
2) Do clean boot like this https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
3) Start the game & remap all keys manually (yes, do it "Key" by "Key"). The keyboard settings are here:
