Chop Shop?!?
Has anyone explored the Chop Shop yet? I just reloaded the game and got $100k cash and 100k SCRAP. Then the game directed me to a new feature called the Chop Shop where you can apparently trade par...
Well, the automatic scrapping of maxed out bps is a marvel to up the scrap money account. Before the update you just got a street part, and if you were lucky, you got a rare one selling for 5k, while green one sells for 3k. Same for Subaru BRZ and Viper.
Now you get different scrap money for different blueprints - 20 % of their value in the Chop Shop. While Skyline is less than 6k, Viper is more than 30k (enough to buy blue classic sport part) and McLaren (my last car with full blueprints) scraps for 40k.
Guess maxing out lower ranked cars gets much easier for me 🙂
I think it is now possible to replay as many boss races as possible to get the blue prints you do not need. They will be automatically scrapped and you can buy the desired blue prints from the chop shop. I got 5 Mercendes-AMG GT BP from gold crate and they were immediately scrapped for 150-ish thousand. It was then possible for me to get all remaining blueprints for Dodge challenger (7) with plenty of scrap to spare. Guess having a maxed out sport/super/hyper is important at this stage.
It would be nice if someone could do the math (e.g. 2 super BP = 1 hyper BP) and share the details.

If that is so, I already hate it! 👿
One of the reason I farmed all those blueprints of unwanted cars is so that they won't spoil my golden crates, so I'll get only legendary blueprints (Aventador, Pagani and Koenigsegg in my case) and parts to upgrade my super/hyper cars. And now again I can get three T86 blueprints for a fraction of a price of needed bps? Bah ☹️

After the "update" I got an M3 blueprint. Been maxed out for a while. What did I get for it? 3,500 chop shop credit.
Sucks. Hate it. Now I will get useless blueprints that aren't worth *. And I can't sell material for cash to buy from the black market now - it's all for stupid chop shop credit.
Think I'm just going to quit playing this game. Seems every time they turn around they do a little bit good but a lot bad. Farming for material you need? Want to do 2 races for a battery? Now you race a 905 Aventador on chapter 18 in a Hunter race. Good luck. You're screwed.
In my opinion, they should provide parts with 7 stars as well because i have a few cars with all BP's collected. And also lower down the cost of BP's :/

Hmm, and what about a possibility to get a completely maxed out car in a crate or premium crate, so you don't have to do anything at all?
I mean, is it that hard to stick a few materials into a new part?! From my point of view many things got easier with the last update, and still there are people wanting it more effortless. For months we've had useless half of the Black Market with overpriced useless parts, and no one really whined. Now there is another possibility to buy the last blueprint, if you are impatient enough, and it is that bad? Noone is forced to buy one, and I can imagine only a very small number of occasions where I would want to buy a blueprint from Kelly, but YMMV. And I love the parts part of the Chop shop... there never before was a way to get top parts for any given class consistently and without real money (or tons of gold in the game). It was so good they nerfed it just a few days after introduction of the feature, so now the source of scrap points is limited, but still you can eventually get what you want, and in many times easier than by any other means/ways.
@HeretikJirka I'm agree with you, with the new update the game become easy, even for the players with high level, I was able to buy 11 legendary parts on the chop shop, my F40 went from blue parts to legendary in 2 days, before the update that was only a dream or a very nice fantasy.
I focused to upgrade my CCX a long time ago to be able to finish the Underground chapters and now I'm focus to finish all the Car Series, with the chop shop I'm able to max upgrade easily my Mercedes, GT-R R35 and McLaren, with the Hyper cars need to take some time, legendary parts for them are 415k more or less, that's 175k more than the parts for Super cars, but still with this chop shop is easier than before.
Yestarday on Turner Trials I got my normal 600k cash and today I activate the free pass and do another 600k, plus 300k earned from farming parts, so I bought 1m normal crates, several times they give me Ferrari BP(4 one time, 6 another), McLaren BP( 5 times 4 and one time 6), Huayra BP(3 times 3), Koenisegg BP(2 times 3 and one time 4), and several lower cars BP plus several legendary and epic materials, so my point is the game is becoming easier than ever, with all the new features the new players can raise our level or pass it in less than the half time that take us to be here.
The only thing that's bothering me is how we gonna be able to max upgrade our Special Event cars, it's sad to take a look in my garage and see my Hoonicorn 5*, BMW Razor 6*, Jaguar 6*, Huracan 5* and LaFerrari 5* and cannot do nothing to max upgrade them, I cannot imagine those players that get all of this plus Fiesta, Challenger, Mustang and Mercedes.
Happy racing!!

I can only imagine how much real money you spent to attain all your riches. 🙂
@HeretikJirka Yeah it is hard, maybe you have always been in luck getting the right part or choosing the correct card but not everyone is lucky. And also, i find it stupid spending money in a game, i'd rather play and spend while munching on a KFC bucket LOL :P
@ruf997tt i think they're all victims of nfs nl hack, thats game guardian talking 😉

You may be right about GG. How else do you end up with hyper cars without maxing any of the lower cars to get through the UG? Or a high enough VIP level to be able to run through Tuner Trials multiple times?
It's not as much fun if you don't do it on your own merit, albeit a lot more frustrating to be sure. 🙂
Though money can make it easier, it is not a decider. There are players who finished UG without spending a dime in the game. I have VIP level 3 expired, since I bought 3 montly gold cards during the course of the game. And considering buying two more to make vip benefits permanent (it is quite handy to have more fuel available when you wake up 🙂 ).
Anyway, you do not need to max out a lot of cars in the course of the game, I'd say Impreza, Mustang, AMG and McLaren. There are of course other cars you'll have to use as well, both in Tuner Trials and in Car Series to get new parts, blueprints and other goodies, but no need to max them out. Viper is the most important, Supra and P911 (991) the others to reach for higher ranked parts.
Well, that's true that if you finish all the game and cars 100% you will have a lot of merit, patience and a really big heart, I started playing a week before the first Razor event, I got the BMW Razor and I used it to almost finished Chapter 18, only 4 races left, so I start buying premium crates twice, they give me all the blueprints to build the CCX, then after a ticket request for so many times the game got frozen they give me a gift and was able to upgrade that CCX until 6*, enough to finished the Underground and farm for materials and cash before the Turner Trials update, after it didn't spent real money buying gold except for the monthly card.
But still, I'm having fun and like a lot the game, happy racing!!
@peniastall how do you make 600k from TT? Do you get 8 tokens instead of 2? And how did you get enough scrap to get 11 legendary parts for hyper cars? The only way to get scrap points right now is to get tons of blueprints for maxed out cars. Or upgrade to new parts and sell old parts.
@7ru3blu3 600k on TT is no problem, 75k each race with the viper and vip level 7 gives you 3 TT refills, so there's your 8 races, i'm vip level 6 and now doing 450k three times a week, 30 gold for a TT refill that will give you 150k seems a no brainer to me
@7ru3blu3 and just to add an answer to the other part of your question, he said he bought legendary parts, not legendary HYPER parts, thats why he could have bought lots of them, since sports parts are ridiculously cheap 🙂
And for the first few days (4-5) after introducing the chop shop all the boss races gave you scrap points instead of a blueprint, if you had all of them. That way it was not a problem to get 300k per day... I made about 1.4M during that time. Now an access to more scrap points is much more limited. A good source is replacing parts, scraping the old ones...
Ah yes, I forgot that you can use real cash in NFS NL :D which means more TT tokens and more shots at bosses per day. I didn't know however that you can get eight tokens for TTs... I thought it was 3 or 4 for VIPs.

"Restore" means "like it was at the start of the day". So if you use event restore (10 or 20 gold), you get 3 more races for that specific event. If you use tuner trial restore, you get 2 new tickets. Which means that if you can normally race twice for 75k each, and you have 3 restores available, you can have as much as 8 cash races (totalling 600k). Number of event restores and tuner trial restores available differs, see Benefits in the Store.
@7ru3blu3 Well, they already explain you how was it possible, I didn't buy it a Legandary Hyper part yet, need to take time for that, on the other side, I'm using iOS so never got scrap racing bosses, when they released the iOS update already was gone, all the scrap was buying normal crates, they give you BP and some of them are really good, Pagani and CCX are close to 50k and they give me several of them, and when you rebuilt a part you scrap the older one, that's another 30-35k, so that it is, no magic, only spent a lot of cash buying crates.
Btw, today I bought 400k cash on normal crates, but I realized when they give me a BP was only one of them, not like before, I'm thinking they probably change it or it's only luck.
Happy racing!!
If EA/FM are listening...
How about selling 6 or 12 packs of material in Chop Shop. I get tired of grinding for 30 relays or clamps, or 12 batteries, or whatever to go from rare to epic for some cars.
Also something needs to be done with VP. I've painted and put body kits on all my cars and still have 1.5mm VP. What am I ever going to do with them?
@peniastall I went the other way, and instead of buying cheap parts to max out cars I do not need I went hyper 🙂 Yesterday I got fifth star on my Koenigsegg and spent all my scrapt points (including scrapping epic super engine) to get all six legendary parts, and now my CCX is an inch better than maxed out McLaren.
BTW did you know last rebuild of a hyper legendary part (to reach 7* there) costs more than 500k? Insane.
@HeretikJirka That's pretty awesome, I don't know when I be able to max upgrade my CCX, actually it has PR950, when I finished Chapter 19 was only PR928, so that why I'm upgrading my other cars first, and be able to finish all the car series, not everybody wants to full upgrade all the cars but I want to do it, so it's taking me lots of time and patience.
Like two months ago I bought my last gold, with all the daily goals and the FM gift about tickets I was able to reach 6k, I don't think to buy more gold, I'm using it only for restarts to get more cash in the game, so gonna take me a long time to max upgrade all the cars, every week I'm finishing around one and a half and need 9 more cars to finish, so around two months from now I will finish.
Happy racing!!
q1) does scraping a part with some of the items installed in it compared to scrapping with no items installed give more money? i mean does the scrap give u points for the installed items in the part?
q2) i have around 220k scrap points, now i cannot play both car series and underground due to pr requirements. do i go ahead and upgrade my amg stuck at 599 or spent all the scrap points on the srt for the upcoming event.. its just feels too expensive around 100k per epic part considering it was only 33k for porsche 993..

a1) yes - in the same manner you got (before the update) more money for a replaced part, you now get more scrap points if there are some materials already installed
a2) for me 100k per epic muscle car is a lot, so I'd go for upgrading amg, and you can still upgrade srt normally (using green and blue kits)
a2/ i'd agree with @HeretikJirka, you've still got at least another week before the srt chapter of the special event which should be plenty of time to get the parts/conversion kits, if the delay between chapter 1 and 2 is anything to go by you'll have more than enough time
