My understanding is that EA relies on third party groups (at least partially) to create digital downloadable versions for some of the older games. I don't know if EA or the third party groups initiate the process it takes to add an older game to the Origin store. I also don't know if licensing is an issue if an older game is modified so it can be sold via Origin.
Could they not? Is it because they might be too old? If that, I'm not sure, there are games released earlier than 2003 that are on steam. Like Max Payne, that game is from 2001. Max Payne, GTA 3, GTA Vice City, steam was released in 2003, on September 11th of all days.
I don't understand, why would this be a licensing issue? Don't they own these games? Can they not do whatever they want to them?
