Can you manually set the default controls like in this table below?
@wicken wrote:I did some small changes on my controller layout, for example: Accelerate button to R3 up, brake button to R3 down, Nitrous to R2 and now I can't go back to the default settings without removing all my progress. Seriously I am not going to remove my +100hours save file for this, why didn't you include a reset to default controller settings?
P.S: I have a copy of my save file if any of the devs need it to change anything.
Can you please provide a clarification and more details on this?
I mean; do you the warning message in case of resetting to the default settings or in case of any change?
Thanks for the reply.
1st Question: I can set the Accelerate and Brake button to their default but not the Nitrous and E-Brake because for some reason the game doesn't let me set to one of those 4 specifics like: Cross button, Square button, Triangle button or Circle button. The camera is also messed up because I was forced to set the Nitrous to R3 and E-Brake to R3 up so I can't really look around like before without stopping my car completely so yeah I would like to get all the controls to default like I mentioned in my previous post.
2nd Question: I don't get any warning message but I just know that because when I started playing the game for the first time I wanted to use the Analogs for racing like I do in all racing games I play, it was impossible to get them back to default and the only solution that I found was removing my savefile and starting new (In that time I was only at that time when you get the Porsche 911 Carrera S so I didn't had nothing to lose).
After I completed the career, I decided to move on to multiplayer and I changed the layout again (I totally forgot about this issue that I had early in November.) Anyway using the analogs to accelerate and brake also shares some things with the camera views and it was totally wierd to drive like that so I tried to change the layout to default AGAIN, I messed up with the nitrous and e-brake buttons by mistake while trying to do this and it was impossible to set them back to default. Now I am in this situation and the only solution is to delete my savefile but I won't do that because I have way too many things that I don't want to lose, now it's up to Criterion to fix this or add a button to reset them to default (They had it in Hot Pursuit 2010, come on) 😞
@eanajat Is there anything you can do to help me get this solved? I won't bother to go talking with some advisors on EA Live Chat because they will give me the same answer as usual and I have faith in you that you can pass this to the dev team and hopefully have a fix for this.

Hi wicken
With this clarification I understand better now. Thanks.
I remember that I was looking for similar situations when I replied to you but I haven't found any.
The only issue that was reported related to controller layout lately was the one with accented characters in the Windows user name, but this is relatively different (and unless you can confirm it, it does not seem to be the case for you.)
I will try to found more information about this. - 13 years ago
There should be two files stored on your PS3 system, one for the progress called something like game data and then there should be another file with settings for the game. Find that file, delete it and everything should go back to default. But make sure do do a backup before doing so.

You are saying that I have to delete my savefile? I tried that in the past and I said on my above post that it's the only solution for now but I am not willing to lose hundreds of hours of my game progress.

Read again, there are two DIFFERENT files. You're supposed to delete the one with the settings, not the file with your progression.
