    Hi all, while this is being worked on the following steps should get you back in. 

    - Close game

    - Unplug all USB devices 

    - Connect controller via cable

    - Launch game

    - On title screen, unplug the controller and turn it back on

    We'll mark this as solved purely to show visibility, the base issue persists, but this should at least get people back in.

This has been going on now for 4 days, and no word on any fix.  This is starting to get ridiculous, at least they should post some kind of update on time frame.  So frustrating!

    Yeah... About that work around. It does not work. Please keep the post on unsolved since the workaround is not solution

    This doesn't work. It seems ridiculous to mark anything as solved if it isn't. Your workaround is not a resolution.

    Xbox One X

    Standard controller 4.8fw

    Nothing else plugged in.

      Use This workaround. 

      It Should work 100% of the time.

      Just go to Looking for Group. I play on xbox so, just push the xbox button on your controller, go to the Multiplayer Tab, then Looking for Group at the bottom. (you don't have to join anyones party). Then Click Search Or Create Post, Pick NFSH, and go to any of those parties of people who are playing then view someones profile thats in those partys and join game. It should take you right in. You do not have to stay in their game if you dont want to. This is just so you can get around being stuck at the main menu. I hope it works for you guys, kinda sad we have to do things like this just to play the game..

      After hours of my own testing, I was unable to find/make any combinations of these suggestions work.

        Moved game to internal storage, unplugged external drive, unplugged my kinect, reset xbox and its temporarily working.

    01/31/20 game still stuck on loading screen with my username and say press a to start been like this all day ive tried literally everything the whole day

      See my previous post from another thread... I'm just trying to survive the night with this issue...

      If I dont make it through the night we know who took me out. My evil demon twins that just wanted to play this game.

    The first time i tried this it worked, now a little later on today ive tried again but its back to not working regardless.... so trash, just wanna jam

    Unfortunately your solution “for the time being” is not working for anyone here on the forum. I understand it might work for some but it is definitely not a fix all solution. I for one cannot play the game still and it’s been more than 4 days. Please reopen this case until it is solved completely. A company as big as EA should not be accepting half-a** solutions as the go ahead for closing out the case. Do better. Keep it open until it’s solved. That philosophy shouldn’t be difficult to wrap your head around. Thanks

        This "fix" didnt work for me. It cant work for me cause the game is installed on my external harddrive.

      So the solution that I found only worked once for me. After that it has not worked again. This is ridiculous.

      Okay guys. I just followed some advice and deleted local saves. So far everything is working fine now with no deletion of progress. As long as you have/had a prior cloud save you should be good but your games will need to sync back up. It worked for me! Maybe it’ll work for you too. Something new to try for this “solved” thread.

    Your “solution” didn’t work. So the problem is not solved. This is a joke. I want a refund for my money or fix the * game so I can play.

    @EA_David I found a temp fix if you plug in your controller then hard reset the Xbox then turn it on with the controller that’s plugged in open the game and it works but if you unplug at anytime it stops working an you have to hard reset again I’ve tried with 3 different controllers from old to new an this worked every time on each of them please let ppl kno of this temp fix I see so many still can’t play
