Hello @mrvelocity1577,
1. Verify DirectX Installation
Since NFS Heat uses DirectX 12, ensure that DirectX is properly installed and up-to-date on your system.
- Check DirectX Version:
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type dxdiag and press Enter to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
- In the System tab, check the DirectX version listed (it should show at least DirectX 12).
- Update DirectX:
- If you don’t have the latest version, you can download and install the latest version of DirectX from the official Microsoft website: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.
2. Reinstall the Visual C++ Redistributables
DirectX issues can sometimes be related to missing or corrupt Visual C++ redistributable packages, which are required by many games.
- Install/Repair Visual C++ Redistributables:
- Go to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable download page.
- Download and install both the x86 and x64 versions of the latest redistributables for your system.
- Restart your PC after installation.
Best regards,
danisoff
