Yes, Crossplay is the last update were getting in NFS heat.
EA & Ghost Devs left to head over to Criterion studios.
As you can see in the provided link for ghost studios they are gone.

Also, check out the official link for Ghost Studios when you click it you will see a 4040 error.

The Ghost Studio website is gone as are any more updates for the HEAT game.
