Kept my promise, here is how I drift with my car. Sorry for the framerate, i recorded through x1 and then uploaded on onedrive. Didn't bother to record the whole race (you can't record more than 2 mins). I ended the race with 450 000 points with a 249 IP car.
Note that i did it on the first after getting back from work so there are many corners where i could done better.
Thanks for the video as you promised.
I appreciate the effort in the drift showcase you created here.
Sadly I could hear just how hard you were gasing the car and hand braking to make those drifts.
The car sounded like it was ready for a long nap as you started to drift.
The exhaust told me a lot about how hard you're working the car.
Now you did have a decent run I'll give you some credit,
but it's not as good like in old school NFS when drift was way more fun and simple.
If you enjoy this new kind of Drift, I wish you all the fun and enjoyment you desire.
As for myself only, I can't say I have come to enjoy this new set up for drift in the game.
I guess I'll just have to keep practicing and adjuting to setups after each drift run I do.
Thank you and have a nice day.

Ahah, I was not trying hard. This race was a ballad. From what I see, Drift in NFS Heat is much more a powerslide than actual drift.
I only use the handbrake for tight corners.
The car will loose traction once you turn in the corner, this is the moment where you have to steer in the opposite direction and rapidly steer left/right so your car can keep sliding.
Im planning to get 3 stars on every challenge and I tried REALLY hard for a drift challenge (100k points).
I think you should approach the drift mechanics in NFS Heat differently. It's not Payback.
Now you have to take into account the angle of your car, the corner curves, the speed etc.
