Engine Swaps. Broken ?
The new feature of 'Engine Swaps' available in NFS Heat is either slightly broken ! Or I am a blithering idiot... How come I find a Forged 3.8l V6 available for DB11 and not for Nissan GT-R '17 ? W...
A lot of engine swaps dont make sense. The firebird has the 3.8L V6 as its be-all-end-all engine, despite being the first mass produced turbocharged V8.
The 67 Camaro's best engine swap is a Mercedes Benz V8. When I see real engine swaps in the real world, people do what you're thinking of. Swapping to the manufacturers bigger and better engines.
Even if they just added a stock engine in as an ultimate or elite part I'd be fine. Idk why a Chevy 350 is seemingly capped at 1239hp, those monsters are routinely used for alcohol drag races, making 2000 sometimes even 3000hp.
The funny cars yes, but not all of them. I believe Tom Bailey's 69 Sick Seconds does 1/4 mile in 6.4 seconds and it has a Miller's Racing Engines 416, same blue prints as the Chevy. I have a book from 1968 that describes a Chevy 302 being able to achieve 900 hp with just a blower and some tuning. The book was out out by Chevy.
As for the firebird, yeah its engine was no where near as good with restrictive economy laws being put in place in the 70's, however the machine itself is still steeped in legend. Let me ask you this, what Chevy race car has an RB26 swapped into it? It just doesnt make sense. We need manufacturer specific swaps as well, a lot of us are brand loyalists
