Error code and not being able to connect to autolog on hot pursuit

Whenever I go on hot pursuit, it loads fine and works fine except from the fact that when it goes to log into the autolog, it says the following, 'connection failed!' 'You must be signed into Xbox live and the ea servers in order to access the online features of this title' even though I am signed in to Xbox live and ea and also have the online pass activated. It also says in the bottom left corner 'error code: 40010000'. This unfortunately means I can't play with my friends on it and can only play career which I've already done. ☹️
