Ever heard of the color orange?
It is impossible to make a bright orange car in payback. All of the preset colors in between red and yellow are all just ugly browns. Its sad that NFS:NL has some better paint options then payback.

Have you tried the "Advance" tab to mix your own colour? I got an almost neon green for some decals.
The General Lee wraps I use seem to look ok to me. Try playing with the advanced shaders though to see if that helps. Some of the blue's kinda look purple ish to me.
