Ever since new patch NFS Rivals unplayable PS3

I just turned on my PS3 and was quite enthusiastic about the new patch, only to find out after the update, my game freezes everytime I try to hop into a game, EVERYTIME! It even froze when I tried to switch to racer mode.

This new patch made my NFS Rivals unplayable, I cant play it, the game is worthless now, I tried 10 times already. No steering wheel support, and now I cant even play it.
