Exclamation Marks on NFS Heat, Map!

Hey there @Sir_Orangealot01, that ! is a modifier to a race, its the same race with faster cars and better racers, I know it's annoying that it happens, but when you have the whole circle it means you didn't complete the first level, hope this help :D

But I am afraid chap your answer doesn't help me.
The blue circle does disappear when you indeed complete a race or even 1 of the 2 races on an event marked with an ! but it doesn't help me work out if I have completed and won 2 out of 2 for example. It doesn't change from an ! to a tick when I complete both races.
I do believe this is by design but it is an odd design. You race to win. Not just to complete. What would be a good idea if the events where rated like the activities are, 0 star not done, maybe 1 star finishing near the back. 2 star up to 2nd place, and 3 stars if you have completed the event. Those with 2 events could have the stars in the corner of the picture when you hoover over it and it lets you select a level.
Have you people tried simply ignoring the exclamation mark?
