Exhaust sounds and rev limits for the Nissan Skyline's
Hi, I wanted to take some time by asking the developers of the upcoming Need For Speed to watch videos of a single turbo RB26 compared to a twin turbo RB26 that comes in the R32-R34 lineup.
I bring this up because the car sounds of both GT-R's in Need For Speed Heat do not change when you apply either forced induction option. The exhaust notes change drastically in real life. I will link twin turbo vs single turbo exhaust sound video of an R32, a large single turbo rb26 exhaust sound video, and a video from youtuber The Racing Joker that has clamored for THE Nissan Skyline sound. If engine swaps, forced induction variety and exhaust tuning is going to be carried over, this needs to be expanded upon.
Also the rev limit for these engines increase when the engines are modified. The Stock RB26 rev limit is 8k but in Need For Speed Heat, the R32's is set only to 7. Opening up the rev range to 9.5k to 10k will make the engines sound very close to their real life counter parts and would increase immersion. I and many others want the single turbo high revving exhaust noises to be in the game. You guys and gals at EA have some of the best exhaust noises in racing video games.
