Frame Rate Drops in NFS Most Wanted PC

I'm wondering if this is normal... my frame rate drops to the low 20s sometimes evecn 15 in certain scenes but usually stays around 25-35 and in some areas goes up to 60fps

are they actually reading/using the dxdiag posts
or is this just some way to keep the customers busy?
I guess that depends on if they work weekends.
Hi, running a 3770k @ 4.3 ghz and gtx 670 in SLI with 16b RAM and unable to get a stable 60FPS unless I drop geometry, shadows and reflections down.
I've seen the game lock at 60fps, then drop to a locked 30fps and back up, it's very choppy when it does this.
After changing car I've actually seen it lock at 20fps for up to 10 seconds.
With the settings dialled back I can lock at 60 but it kinda takes the shine off the nice graphics.
