Game Updates/patches automatically in Origin? What happend to the patches?

Hi everybody!

The question is originally about nfs shift 2, but I also do own the run and hot pursuit, and I couldnt select shift 2 on the list, hence I selected one of them.

Well: I didnt play it for maybe two years, and reinstalled shift 2 yesterday. What made me curious, where went all the game patches from all the nfs websites (also the official ones)?

I still have one saved from 2011 August or so. But I cant find a newer one, and not even that one that I got.

Does shift 2 and the other nfs games now get their patches/updates directly through origin?!? Or is the now downloaded version already up to date?

Apart from that: does anyone have a patch-list for that game? Which one the latest was exactly. I unfortunately installed that stupid patch I got - it started patching directly, whilst I only wanted to see its details. Didnt knew that anymore. Haven't really played games for a year or so. Does I need to redownload/reinstall the game? Or is there a possibility to "repair" the installation?
