Hi Barry -
Thank you for responding to my post about the 'data corruption' error when I try to install the 'Deluxe edition' of the new Need For Speed game on my PS4.
I tried the solution you proposed (restoring the licenses via the PS4 settings menu / tools) and sadly, the 'data corruption' error persists.
What I have learned is that I'm not the only one with this problem, and other users (such as PSN member - 'xDr_Trololox' ) who contacted me saying they had the same problem, but as they got their copy of the game from Walmart, which apparently does not do refunds on games, is now stuck ('xDr_Trololox' said they have tried at least two different copies / discs of the game with the same errors that I've described). Perhaps EA can find a way to help them too ?
As I've already sunk hours of frustration trying different things to work around this issue (as I really want to play the game!) I am giving up for now, and have already requested a refund for the game from Amazon. That said, I'm willing to try any other solutions until the UPS person arrives to pick up the game to send back to Amazon today (Wednesday Nov 11).
If EA or Sony can find an actual fix / work around, I'd be up for trying again sometime (I've played almost every NFS game in the past 15 years, and it's a real disappointment not being able to play this one!!). I just got the 'platinum trophy' (for completing all other challenges) in NFS Rivals, so I'm not sure what to do (except pray that when my pre-ordered copy of Star Wars Battlefront arrives next week it doesn't have any problems like this new NFS does...
