Garage limit.

Since EA doesn't respond to my Tweets i'll just ask it here, or should i even say ask?
I don't even know to be honest because to me its something that should've not been limited.

You probably figured already.. The garage.

So you have the choice to pick what? around 40 vechiles we got. Then you limit the garage of only 5 cars? while the point of this game was "no limits"

I don't get it, the game is great. I love the drifting aspect, the customization to create our own rides, the feel of the bay etc etc.

The only thing i don't get is the garage. Why is it limited? And why only 5 cars and not 10 or 20?

I feel like 5 cars at this moment is to much of a limit to me and i get really bored of only 5 cars to choose from. I spend most of my day customizing the ride itself.. and driving all of them.

There are many great cars in it, Rx7, R32, R34, R35, EVO, Supra, BMW's, Porsche's, Subaru's etc etc. Yes i'm that kind of guy that would like to tune them ALL. But it can't be done with this limit.. i was really excited about this game but the garage is a big let down for me. So did the Crew, amazing world. GIGANTIC.. but awfull gameplay and awfull customization. (some rides couldn't even be street race cars and were limited to offroad) i'm just wondering why companys feel like restricting people so much?

I've bought so many NFS games and this one is the most i was excited for after Carbon.. but the garage bothers me.

  • This is actually not such a great idea if taken at face value. You would have to remember what cars you have in each garage, even if you can teleport to them. However, it can be a symbolic purchase, and you can still access all cars from one place. In that case, it actually does not matter you own a second garage. And since you're not limited by physical walls, you can just get more car lots in the one garage.

However, more car slots is a must. I realise this game is a sequel* to Underground 2, where you had five car slots, but in Most Wanted, you had 10, plus, if you did it right, you had an additional 15 cars (if you sold any, car slot went with it).

    * No, it is not a reboot.

I think the easiest way to do it would be to have someone text you in-game to say "we've got a sick new extension to the garage bruh, check it out bae!". Then when you get there there's an extra option next to your current set of cars to head into the new extension where there are a few more slots (3-5, maybe?). It would require modelling a whole new garage but since it won't appear in cut-scenes (they can say it's through a door that's out of view or something) it won't affect the storyline or any of the work done already; it would just need the new bit adding.

Any other options are going to require new animations for driving in and out, new menus for switching up cars or deciding which garage to use, additions to the map and so on. This way they can use most of the existing assets.

The drifting is good I think there need to be more drift style body kits like bn sports and more drift style cars
  • I do not have the game yet, but from gameplays I have seen, the cutscenes feature your active car only, so they never show how much space there is.

True, but then again its a rather small garage, and you cant use the parking lot since its online and everyone would have the parking lot, so it also makes sense to be limited to some degree.

  • if you are going to have to sell the cars you shouldn't lose the parts. i don't ever remember any other NFS having a limit on cars
