On the settings menu, HDR is either on Auto or Off...if on Auto, in fullscreen mode, the colors are purple, green, blues, etc.... terrible....if switched off, it's normal non HDR. Had anyone else ex...

*Got it to work in full screen mode in HDR but will get black screen after exiting the game. Turning off HDR in settings will let you run the game window mode or full screen mode no more black screen of death.*
First you will need to Right Click on you're desktop.

Pull open a folder or another WINDOW could be anything (This will prevent the game for full screening or going into Dolby Vision mode.) Launch the game and CLICK and HOLD the window or folder that you have open. You will see Need for speed launch in you're left corner of your screen. When your still holding the window you will see the intro screen to need for speed. Now you can click on the game. You should beable to see now without a black screen. (ALT + Enter) if you can't see. Wouldn't let me see in window mode but in full screen it did. I dont how what you're settings are but ALT+Enter will let you see again.
- After all that go into settings and turn off HDR!
Now you should be all set. Until they fix the HDR you'll have to keep it off.
HDR is broken lol, I can't get it to work with it no matter what I've done. Black Screen. EA needs to fix it. (EA go buy a 4k tv and test your game. Dolby vision doesn't work)
BoogerM0nster's post was hugely helpful.
I did NOT have the option to change to HDR in Windows 10 (likely due to me not having Displayport 1.4, but I'm not sure) so here is what I did instead.
As instructed, I opened the NFS Heat application then very quickly opened a folder window, grabbing the top of it so that I could move it around. While holding the folder open, as the game loaded, I used an Xbox One controller that I had paired to navigate the menus. (The keyboard alone would not work for me, as using the keyboard while holding a window just makes Windows believe you're trying to do something with THAT focused window) So that's one hand maintaining a left-click on a random folder/window, the other hand using the Xbox controller to get into the game (which is shrunken) and navigate to the options menu. In this way, the Xbox One controller pairs with the non-focused window - aka NFS Heat - while you maintain focus of the folder Window.
Once in the options menu, I used the controller to disable HDR and set the window to Borderless. After that, it worked like a charm.
Thank you BoogerM0nster.
I don't normally post on help threads but this was so beneficial to me, I HAD to return the favor.
Hopefully this was not too confusing.
I'm using a GTX 1060 6GB on a Vizio 4K TV.
Good luck all!
