@anti-loser1 That is exactly what we are saying. This game was supposed to be everything we all wanted and they blow it on the cop part of game. This is a big let down.
Oh come on , you are acting like this game is the worst Need For Speed to have ever come out , There are just no cops roaming the streets , Which is a huge plus for me tbh.. I like driving over 280 kp/h and knowing that no one will come after me , i can crash into my friends and have a good laugh without the cops being after us 24/7 , If you do want a cop chase go for that specific job , No one is stopping you. And not buying Need For Speed Payback for this very reason is really childish and low if you ask me. Peace

Well you can see what a dramatic impact this omission has on the appeal of the game.
It's a grave miscalculation on Ghost's part. Whatever reason they had to omit this, it didn't pay off. There's a gaping hole in the experience that was left behind.

@kartov93 I never said it was going to be the worse NFS to come out. This game was marketed as being a game that was huge with the cops meaning police chases. They were marketing the cops through their news feed.

Do not market police chases being a huge deal if they are not going to play a roll in the game free roam wise. It is stupid to only have police chases during a scripted event. Having police in free roam was what made games such as Carbon and Most Wanted fun. This is not a childish reason to not buy a game. Not buying a game because Toyota or a certain model of car in a game is childish reason. The cops playing a roll in a game is all part of the game play which then makes the game fun or dull. Not having police chases in free roam will make the game feel dead and unrealistic (trust me, its a game and I am not for 100% realism). This is a Need for Speed game for crying out loud.

I kind of like that they have bait crates. It got annoying in Most Wanted 05 when I wanted to show the world off to friends and I couldn't because I'd get into another cop chase. And anyways, we all know that the worst NFS was The Run 🙂

@NathanLoiselle The Run was not that great. The police chases were fun and rewarding in Most Wanted 2005. I dont mind the bait crates. What I do mind is that the only way to get into a chase is through the crates or story missions.

@kartov93 For some guys like you , its good . For some guys like me it's not good . May be it's game engine issue like other youtubers said that cops AI won't be able to chase us offroad which makes the game experience even more pathetic , But there's an another ways for offroad pursuit like cops have helicopters , introduce offroad cops . Regarding game engine there should be any ways to do this . And regarding you @kartov93 no police AI can catch you if speeding 280 km/h unless its corvette 🙂 and about cruising with friend you can do it too at low speed and cops won't be all over map 🙂
- kartov938 years agoRising Veteran
I didnt say anything about cruising with my friends , I said crashing into my friend.. But the point of crashing into them is to do that in high speeds and watch him fly away.
The game engine has nothing to do with cops not going off the road , Game engine is how you see the world , The cars ect.. Cops not going off-road , thats connected to the AI's path. and im pretty sure they wont introduce off-road cops as Ghost have already said there will be 5 cop classes.

@kartov93 BROO AI path is all related to game engine only , All AI programming is on Game Engine . About Cars detail it's related to 3d softwares like autodesk maya or blender . if u don't believe me try unreal game engine free version and try to make your own game 🙂 . And about offroad cops , DLC would be a good option to introduce them :D
