If you are unable to hear your friends in the chat on NFS Rivals, it could be caused by two issues:
- You have a different NAT Type than your friends
- You have to change your Audio Output or Audio Device settings on your console
The audio settings that you need to select might differ per TV and headset. Try finding the settings that work for you.

I already checked my audio device and output settings and my friend did as well. The mics work perfectly fine with other games as well. How do I go about checking my NAT type after I unplug my modem for 10 mins.

If you want to check your NAT type, read this Playstation manual. Ideally, you want to have the same NAT Type as your friends--having NAT Type 3 is always a bad thing.
