Yeah, I got the same mail after the unsuccessful code verification with the agent. It's such a shame that a game like this became abandonware. All of this could be avoided so easily if EA simply put the game up for sale on Origin.

I purchased the game through Best Buy as well, installed Origin and the Game according to the specifications and have received the same "game not verified" message. I have spent over 10 hours the last week interacting with EA/Origin support via chat, phone, and email. Every person I spoke with had a "different" solution and none of them have worked. It's the most work I have ever done to lose $10 in my life. I'm happy that it was only a cheap game and I have learned my lesson not to buy anything else from EA or through the Origin platform.
If you are reading this in an attempt to find a solution... my best advice is to chalk it up as a loss.
