Hi EA_Tom
At first I want to thank you, for answering to this problem. Excuse me in advance if my english is too bad.
I agree with you that there should be a challenge for the Hardcore players, but i'm pretty sure, the most customers who play this games are non hardcore gamers and the goal of your company is to satisfy them and not only the hardcore gamers. So that makes your arguments pretty invalid.
The problem is not to challenge the players, but how insane the challenges are: for example the first sprint race of the prestige events is about 6.12 km and i have to make it in 1min and 25 seconds my average topspeed has to be higher than 240km/h in a city with other cars and cops and a lot of objects i can't control, so this events are not a challenge they are based on pure luck, my chances to win the lottery are higher.
For example in the Formula one, the tracks are around 5.5 to 6km the circuits have no other civilians on the track nor cops or objects on the track or around them they could crash on, they still need around 1:30min per round, and we all know this cars are driven by professional drivers and are built with the best materials of our time, they are light the aerodynamics are perfect and the engines have a lot of power, long story short: these cars are all better than the ones we have in the game, and neither they are able to get those times.
Now please EA_Tom tell me with the laws of physics how the hell should your biggest group of customers the non Hardcore players be able to win Gold medals on tracks that are based on pure luck?
You are the voice of the community, you are the knot between us and the developers, if you can't convince them, who the hell then??
I'm a quality manager at my company, and if I see that our customers are complaining about a product, i'm pretty sure not going to tell them they should practice on them. If one of our customers or a lot of our customers (like here) are complaining about a issue, Im going to fix that * problem ASAP, because YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE KINGS . And the strategy you are following here, is just to calm the people down because the sentence "there is the opportunity we will change it in the future." Is the wrong answer to the problem. The right answer is: "Thank you for your feedback, we are doing everything to fix that issue and make your day comfortable. We will give you a feedback as fast as possible" As a costumer i don't care how you fix the problem, but i care that you fix the problem. The answers you have given to this community so far are not just unprofessional they are a slap in the face of your customers, and they will resolve nothing.
And the bigger issue is that the company you work for has a lot of studios under them, so the work of one studio and the way you handle the problems of this studios games, will effect all other studios, who maybe work hard and will not sell as much games as they expected just because they publisher can't handle issues. Is that fair?
Your work with one game can affect all other games that maybe are good.
Now I hope you understand the importance of your job.
As far as I can say, your company can be lucky, because your customers are not just complaining no, they even are giving you feedback on how you could change the issues, they are helping you all the way, this makes your treatment even harder to them and your creditability even worser. In the industry i work for , no one of our customers are going to help you. they tell you the problem and you are on yourself till the problem is fixed, and if you can't fix it, you will lose your customer, and to get their trust back you will start again from the bottom.
For now i will not buy Mirrors edge Catalyst because of this issue and because i can't trust your companies work. Neither will my friends, because i will tell them not to, your reputation in my community will suffer from your work here.
Kind regards and have a nice day
Only Tom answered us but can't be situation like this.

Said before Toms job is to shut us up and hope we move on. The fact HE marked this as accepted solution proves this. So it doesn't look bad on EA, at first glance on this site it looks like this issue was fixed by EA, when in fact we all disagree. EA made a mistake, it's Toms job to brush it under the rug from the community, which is ALL he has done.
