install issue: Need for Speed Rivals

Install gets to 20%, then I get a popup that says "DirectX Setup Error: An Internal error occured"

    i fixed it by doing this that i found on a forum else where.

    First go to Computer > C > Program Files (x86) > Origin Games

    Once you are in the Origin folder go into your Need for Speed (TM) Rivals > _Installer > DirectX > redist

    Once you are in this folder you will notice a bunch of .rar's. Delete ALL of the .rar files OUT of the redist folder. DO NOT DELETE: DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, or DXSETUP.exe

    Once the redist folder only has those 3 files that you DIDN'T delete are left, log back into Origin and hit the "Ready to Install" button again and it should be all set..

    What is your Operating System? Maybe DirectX 11 is not installed on your system.

    Please make your Windows and drivers are up-to-date.

    In case you are still having this issue:

    I've had this happen on multiple games through Origin (which is why I use Steam for most games). The problem is that when Origin downloads the directx updates, it grabs a metric ton of extra files.

    Located in wherever you have Origin installed, you then go to \Need for Speed(TM) Rivals\__Installer\directx\redist. You need to delete all the EXTRA directx files EXCEPT: DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, dsdllreg_x86.cab, DXSETUP.exe, and dxupdate.cab (these are all conveniently grouped together alphabetically).

    Hope this helps!

    @GawnoSucc

    I assume you have tried the steps in the above post that is marked as a solution?

    Can you right click on that DXSETUP file and then 'Run as Administrator' please?

    Let us know if this helps you get past that error, thanks.
