Is the GTR-R34 event over?

@7ru3blu3 Yes its over, you lost the chance to earn the car. But there are 2 more cars to earn in the upcoming fastlane event.

@HeretikJirka @7ru3blu3 so in simpler terms, it is over because it was just a 5 day challenge.

@vipucho - we cannot tell how it is in your case, as everyone may have chosen the start of the event by himself. And since we are creatures that do not remember everything, we may not be sure the total end of the event, as some of us already have finished, so please forgive us ;-)

@HeretikJirka My case? Im ho exception, everyone plays equal in this game. As far as ONLY GTR-34 is concerned, thats over but if ur talking about the whole speedhunter event, thats not it. What awaits us is the fast lane event. Lets hope it starts soon. 

@vipucho it seems we are not yet on the same wavelength, so I'll try to rephrase that. All the events BEFORE this one (GTR34) had fixed start date and time, so everyone started at the same time and the event ended at the same time for all players.

This event was different. I don't know exactly when it became available, as I was off the internet, but someone said it was on Fathers Day. I do remember though, that when I entered the game, it showed something like "9d 14h remaining" and when clicking the event, I got a reminder it will last 5 days and whether I want to start it then or not (= wait). And since the date and time I started it, each 24 hours I got another chapter unlocked, and 24 hours to complete the last chapter.

And this is why I wrote "in your case", because some players may have the event already completed, while others were still eligible to start it and still finish it in time. I do not remember exact time limit, which is nowhere to be seen after starting (or even finishing) the event, which is why I cannot tell if it can still be started. Judging from the messages here, it cannot (while there are still players that do play it).

@HeretikJirka Are you a professor? Because you lecture too much LOL (just a joke, dont be offended). Well i completely agree with what you said, that the time displayed was 8days at the beginning of the event, but when you tap on the special event icon, it displays the usual kim's message, so. Anyway

EA acknowledged and launched an 8MB update which fixes technical issues on some devices. Time to see if they also extended the deadline for the event.

They extended the Speedhunters special event's final entry date to July 1, 2016 at 8 PM EDT (5 PM PDT or 0:00 UTC).

Since I already completed the special event and got the car, this doesn't really matter to me.
