Lobby kick causes crash (?)
Hey. I'm writing this because it's the third time this happened to me. In the beginning, I just thought it was more of a game design flaw than an "issue" but when the game crashed immediately after kicking me out of a lobby I'm now thinking this might be the appropriate place to talk about this.
First off, let me tell you that being kicked from a lobby without any warning is becoming super frustrating. I 'sort of' understand there might be a technical need for lobbies to be shut down or reset, but I've noticed the game only feels like warning you about this eventual shutdown while I'm just idling in the game, because when I'm actively racing, it fails to warn me about it every single time. It's the third time now that I'm racing or going through the story mode and (almost like it's on purpose) near the end of the race the game just kicks me out, not even letting me to at least finish it.
And with that it leads to this crash. This time, I got kicked out while I was finishing a story mode event. It brought me back to the game main menu, so I pressed the online mode button to try and re-do it, it successfully loaded me into the garage, but it wouldn't let me do anything inside of the game, the game wasn't really freezing, it just wasn't responding to my inputs at all. A few seconds after, the game crashes.
What I'm thinking is maybe the abrupt kicking while doing something in story mode might have made the game go bonkers and crashed. I'm not sure because the game was fine after I restarted it.
I think regardless, the kicking is something that should be thought about as an issue that should be looked at to find a workaround. It's a shame because honestly, it's a great game, I've been having a blast, cops are actually tough as nails again! But every time this surprise lobby kick happens it just makes me wanna quit the game.
I wish I could send a crash report of some sort, if there's any way to slap in a crash log of the game, please tell me and I'll be more than glad to post it.
