Lost progress on need for speed payback

Im so pissed man. I lost 6 hours of gameplay due to power cut on PS4. i tried everything fast travelling and every *.

THIS GAME ONLY SAVES ON CLOSING THE GAME THAT TOTAL *.

Ea live chat support can even say "sorry". Total shithole

Lost over 10 hours of gameplay-twice! hours on support with EA only to be disconnected or hung up on. top notch trash

Have all of you experienced this problem on PS4? If yes, that's at least a good sign that we can narrow it down to just one platform.

Haven't seen this issue (yet) on Xbox One. We're dealing with another problem, the game freezes when we try to play online :/

Game =/= polished

I have xbox one x. lost progression twice. so no...not just on ps4

Also, mine had nothing to do with any power outage or power being cut. I closed game out both times only to start back up at the first mission with all progress lost. 

It's pretty dumb that there's no autosave or anything without exiting the game. Lost all my progress and premium shipment packs' loot I bought with speed points after a power surge. I can replay lost progress but I bet it'd be a pain trying to get them to restore shipment packs or speed points. PS4 here as well

Edit: After some research I've found that certain actions like initiating online multiplayer or changing settings then saving changes ( like subtitles on/off ) prompts the autosave/cloud save. I've heard also fast travel but it may be to specific locations only. Still inconvenient if you don't happen to do those certain actions during a session.
