Low and High Downforce

Hello everyone.. sorry if it's a stupid question but i noticed on the cars in need for speed heat u can actually adjust the downforce, can any one explain me what the difference is between low down...

    @Aerodynamic31 

    In the most basic terms:

    Low downforce: higher top speed, less cornering grip

    High downforce: lower top speed, higher cornering grip

@MEGAF1UX yea im trying but it doesnt tell me the
difference between downforce on lower or higher but thnx anyways
