Meaning of different event icons

Hi, I´ve noticed the different racing events have different icons, some races have a solid circle, others a laurel crown as icons (see attachments) I can't find this anywhere in the ingame help or...

    Itt means you have been  in the race already

@WuFiLYou are right, I had a race that I probably try but didn't win, the crown background one means all events in that spot have been completed. Marking as correct answer
