Mic on NFS Payback

Hi All, I play NFS Payback, and when playing in multiplayer, my mic is on, I don't want this! I can't find ANYWHERE to turn it off, most people seem to have it off, so why is mine on and how do I t...

    I cannot tell it for sure for NFS Payback, but in the former NFS games there is no option to deactivate your mic via game options. If you have an active mic connected it is always on, which is really annoying because you hear a lot of people talking to non-players, breathing and loop-back-stuff.

    You can at least mute others via Autolog to stop the "noise". But you have to do it for every player one by one.

    I don't know why they decided to do it that way but it is just a horrible thing, beginning from privacy issues to an annoying game experience. One thing I would change ASAP if I would be in charge in EA/developer team.

    You have only 2 possibilities:

    A - deactivate your mic completely via Windows audio setting when playing NFS

    B - if it is a headset with a hardware switch on the cable like mine, mute yourself with it

    If you want to use Discord/Mumble/Teamspeak while playing NFS both solutions are not an option, sadly.

    Thanks Kelrycor, I have disabled my mics, but it's really irritating because I use discord a lot. my headset has a mic which I can enable/disable though, So when I use that I just disable it. Thanks EA. It just seems weird that everyone else mic seems to be off...
