Msytery Errand for Ryan?

I’m just learning my way around the world and the game mechanics, but have something I can’t figure out. I just started running the main campaign races and buying/tuning cars, and every time I start the game, or, leave a garage as a different character, I get a call from Ryan, asking the off-road/drift guy to pick something up for him, promising that his unammed thing will be liked. He says he’s sending info, but I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t see any kind of activity marker on the map that might be it, and I don’t see a way to pull up the smart phone (like you could in the last game). Can someone forgive the ignorance of a newbie and she’d some light on this activity?

You're probably talking about Rav. Its more than likely for the abandoned car. IS there a little blue timer on the bottom right hand corner of the map when you open the map? If so, that call is about the abandoned car. The Volvo is on the green part of the map on the lower left part of the map just east of the garage thats there. You'll see the garage and look east and there will be a circle type road. Its in the abandoned barn in between roads

  • That was my first thought, but I’ve actually already gotten the abandoned Volvo. Yet I’m still getting the call asking me to pick something up. From what I’ve read, the Volvo is the 2nd abandoned car, but I also read the time limit for the 1st car, the Rav, had already expired before I started playing the game a day or two ago. In fact, I went to that gas station, I read about, all the way at the top-right of the map, and there was no car. However, if you’re saying the Rav is indeed still available, I can check again. Is that what you meant? Of, and BTW, is there a difference between “abandoned” and “derelict” cars? I’ve heard both mentioned.

Derelicts are the cars such as The C10, Bel Air etc and you get those when you beat the bosses of the street leagues. The abandoned cars came out when the Speedcross update came out. I have heard that if you disconnect the internet and set the date back to December 19th (I believe) you can get the RX-7. I am not sure if that is for PC only or consoles also. I do not remember a mystery errand for Ryan. I do know that you get calls from Rav for the abandoned cars and from the different street league bosses for the derelicts.

  • Howdy All:

Don't forget that the SPEEDCROSS event(s) where add recently and Rav tells you about/asks you to pick up the first SPEEDCROSS car (The Mini Countryman) and bring it to him at the airfield.

So maybe that's is what you are talking about.

If that is the case you'll want to look for the Light Blue Steering Wheel Icon which I believe should be to the left of the airfield.

I hope this helps you out.

  • That’ sounds like promising suggestion. I’ve noticed the icon for that flashing on the map, but I thought it indicated a certain campaign mission had to be completed before it would unlock. Which begs the question: why is it flashing on the map?

i noticed too that a mini like the one you’re describing is available in the off-road dealership for free—which I assumed was just part of the deluxe/premium bundle.

Regardless, your idea is definitely worth checking out.

    thanks for your help!

The Mini and Infinti are part of the Speedcross expansion.
  • Yes the icon was flashing since I got the DLC but when I went there, it said it would be available later or something.
