Need for Speed 2 on Windows 10?

Hi All, 

I'm trying to install Need for Speed 2 into a Dell 5755 laptop running Windows 10.  Win10 flatly refuses to run the "setup.exe" app; pops up a message "This app can't run on your PC.  To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."  So far, not so good.  I gather that while the game itself is 32-bit, and should run in Win10, the installer is not; it's 16 bit, and it won't run at all in a 64-bit OS.  So much for Windows 10 being "... the most advanced version of Windows yet!"  What self-serving tripe.

Anybody got any experience in trying to shoe-horn an older game like this into Windows 10?  Much appreciated!

    Hi EA Barry,

    I've already done everything on that page your link goes to... one of the first things I did when it wouldn't install.

    I have also found a couple of user-created install programs for NFS2, but they both bog down almost immediately because they can't find the source disc, for some reason I haven't been able to solve yet.  It's a German user that wrote it, so there's a language barrier (plus there does not appear to be any support offered on the English-version page).

    Any other tricks you can think of?
