There are a lot and a lot of YouTube videos discussing about loot boxes and how it's very detrimental to the gaming industry.
People don't want to gamble in video games. They want to buy things that are 100% guaranteed to be given to them upon purchase.
DLCs and expansions are 100% guaranteed to be given if purchased. Useful loot box goodies are NOT 100% guaranteed.
By the way, God of War and Spider-Man for PS4 both sold really really well in 2018. And both of them don't have loot boxes in the games.
Casinos exist for the sole purpose of gambling. It shouldn't had made its way to video games.
Its simple IMHO and keep in mind this is a huge NFS fan saying this, the next one will be in the same state as the last 2 i bet everything on it. Look Its has come to a point were cost have risen and bottom lines rule the final decisions so no matter how bad we want these things in the next NFS its not going to happen. Only time we will see any of our suggestion in game is if some suit guy in accounting feels that it will generate a dollar value. I get that games have to make money don't get me wrong but how hard is it to conclude that if tons of people are willing to PAY MONEY for something then just make it !! . Why is it always what they think will sell that ends up as final product instead of what tons of people want. No one can please 100% of every one but wouldn't it make sense to please 80 of the buyers instead of aggravating them with what thy don't want and losing it all . Listen if I go to a restaurant and ask for soup and keep getting a salad i can tell you after a few times its over and done with and they wont hear from me again. Selling people what they want should not be rocket science jeez !! ☹️
