Need for Speed Carbon graphics settings reset to default on Windows 8.1

Hi,

the graphics settings always resets to default values when the game exits. I use the game with a no-cd crack to play it on 1366x768 resolution (Universal Widescreen Patcher requires the game to be cracked), but i also have this issue using the original game files. I run the game on Windows 8.1 x64 and i tried every compatibility mode from XP to 7 and also the 'Override high DPI display scaling behavior', but nothing helped. Again, the only reason for the no-cd crack is the custom resolution, i can always revert to the retail version of the game if necessary.

    ive had the same problem. what seamed to work for me on nfsc graphics always reseting is to download 1.4 patch exe open it & let it apply its update. even if its already at 1.4.... & when i opened yhe game it was at the previous settings before my issue....
