Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered not working (Windows 11 PC) from EA APP. On launch just get a blank screen for about 3 seconds then back to desktop, no errors shown or reported.

However, got this from Events Viewer.

  • I'm also facing same issue. I bought the game on steam and installed it. Then EA App got installed itself, I logged into it and linked my steam account with EA account. When I'm launching the game it shows a black screen for 2-3 seconds and comes back to desktop. No error in steam app or EA app or on the desktop.

Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 5 processor and Nvidia 3050 GPU.

    Installed in C drive

  • @Happy_Shrapnellli got it working by

    1. going into the properties of the actual application file
    2. going into compatibility tab
    3. checking the compatibility mode box
    4. selecting windows 7 in dropdown
    5. running as administrator

I also downloaded the origins app and put the install location in the origin games folder

i dont actually know which one of these steps got the game working but it works for me now

I came here to say pretty much the same, but without using compatibility mode. I had the same black screen issue until I manually ran it as an Administrator. I thought it was perhaps a User Account Control (UAC) issue, but mine is set to "Notify me only when applications try to make changes to my computer (default)", so you would expect a prompt. Either way, I allowed the request, and it worked. I then set it to run as Administrator each time as per the instructions shown here.
