Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 Friends Broken
I bought the game through steam and played for half an hour, problem is, when I create a multiplayer lobby the "friends" tab is locked. Even though I have a friend on the EA app. If there is a way to create a lan lobby and make my friend join it, then please do tell me.

Can we try the following and check if this continues?
- Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
