Need for Speed Most Wanted for PC DVD Rom doesn't install or play

Question

I bought Need for Speed Most Wanted for PC on DVD ROM from Best Buy. When I click install the hour glass appears for a few seconds then disappears. Need for Speed Most Wanted doesn't appear in games or programs or anywhere and won't play. I got Windows 7, 4gb ram Intel pentium 2.3 ghz and Origin.

Wouldn't it be possible to use the key provided in the box to download the game rather than installing it by DVD? Ofcourse with it comes a download of 8GB orso.

It's probably because you're not running the install app as an administrator. Browse the DVD, look for the setup file and right click it and select run as administrator. If it still doesnt want to start, go to Origin and enter your dvd key and download the game from there and install it.
