If this error occurs on Xbox 360® platform please try the following workaround:
Our team is aware of a current issue some Xbox 360 users have experienced when redeeming their online pass code. To successfully redeem your pass and access online play, please follow the steps below:
- Enter the Online Pass Code (from the insert that came with the disc)
- You will see either one of these messages (Error verifying Online Pass OR Code entered has already been used). When you do, skip to step 3
- Reboot console without signing out of Xbox Live
- Launch your game and follow the on-screen prompts. You should be ushered into the Online Pass re-download process.
- Download the Online Pass and continue on to starting the game. Online features should be available to you now.

PlayStation 3
From the PlayStation Network section of your XMB (XrossMediaBar/PS3 Main Menu):
- Ensure you are signed-in to your PlayStation Network account.
- Select Account Management.
- Select Redeem Codes and enter your code. Note that the code is case sensitive.
For Xbox 360:
From Xbox Marketplace
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE with the account for which you want to use the prepaid code.
- Press the Guide button on the controller.
- Select Marketplace, and then select Redeem Code.
- Enter the 25-character prepaid code, and select Done.
- When prompted, click Yes to confirm the redemption.
For PC
- If you do not have the Origin client installed, download it from http://www.origin.com/about
- Launch the Origin client (Start > Programs > Origin) and log in, or create a new account if you don’t already have one.
- Click "Origin" on the top menu bar and select "Redeem Product Code".
- Follow the on screen instructions and enter your unique code. Your content will be unlocked in your game next time you play.
* Please note that these instructions are valid for PC only. For Playstation 3 content, please redeem your code using the Playstation Network (PSN) and for XBOX 360 go to the XBOX 360 live market place to redeem the content.
