Who are the clowns responsible for putting out this game?? Have they been fired? They should be. This game is a joke. For example, the REACT Team Sessions shows the record belonging to Tony Manilla with 47,390 points. Okay. I just played that level, obtaining every record in every race: 8,992-9,663-9,395-8,353-8,047 were the scores (in the order of the races) which totals 44,450 points. It would be impossible for Tony to have that many points if I beat his score in every race!! That's just the beginning. 1) The 'sector shootouts' are a complete joke, a fast car such as the Pagani Zonda can be used, you can pass every car, yet finish the race in last place with zero points (even though you passed every single car!). 2) The game frequently locks up after finishing a race, I'll hit the 'continue' button but the screen doesn't advance. If I hit the 'restart race' button it makes the sound it normally makes, but doesn't let you go back to running the race again. I have to go to my desktop, and close the program using Task Manager, then after restarting the game, redo the race. 3) The damage points are a joke, too. I used the '06 Mustang in a drift race, and bumped into the wall. It said minor damage, and when I completed the drift race it deducted all but 170 'Damage Points" (when I looked at "Repair Cars" it said there was $440 in damage). I redid the race, and bumped into another wall. It said 'Major Damage", yet when I completed the three drift segments, it deducted zero damage points leaving all 500 damage points intact! I checked to see how much damage the car had, and it took $2,880 to fix!! I could go on and on. There was absolutely NO common sense used by anyone when they put this game together. I can understand that meth-heads need to make a living, but EA doesn't have to hire them all! I have NFS Carbon and it frequently locks up to when it shows the little video clips of the "Bosses" making comments. I reported that to the support at EA around two years ago and they responded they couldn't find out what was causing that. If they want to make movies, they need to make movies. But if they're going to continue making games they need to cut the garbage out. I'm fed up with EA. They know nothing about cars, nothing about sports (create a player with minimal attributes in any of their games -football, soccer, whatever - and use him. Then put him on a computer controlled team and see if his playing for them is a poorly as when you use him). EA used to be okay. I still have F1 2002 and F1 2001, both worked with Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and Vista. Now, EA can't get their games to work on even one operating system without locking up. They need to find something they're capable of doing, if they can.

Thanks. Actually I was hoping EA had representatives checking on these posts like they used to. I guess this is just other people playing the games, too. I've been trying for more than two years to get something done about their games but they refuse to take any action. They just keep putting out more games with more flaws, sometimes even the same flaws (lol). They just don't want to hear about problems, now I guess they have other users try taking care of the problems for them now. Thanks anyway!

Hi. I love this game. its awesome. such a wider range of cars to choose from and its more realistic prices on them as well.
I have a problem with the continue button. it recognises that its there when i click on it and changes colour and makes the sound but nothing happens. i can save the shadow and then it goes back to the continue button screen. i try to restart the race the and it freezes when i click yes when it asks me am i sure i want to continue. i have looked everywhere and tried everything from running as admin to getting rid of files in the PunkBuster folder. i know this is a good game and want to continue playing it. Please help. It would be much appreciated. thanks 🙂

Electronic Arts should be absolutely ashamed for forcing us to put up with this decrepit online horse haw. This disgrace of a company was already on thin ice a few years back when millions were forced to only play games with a wifi connection and now it has become so greedy, they'd dare to market a good game like this and force people to play through the middleman known as Origin. No, EA is not just greedy, this company is stone cold corrupt. I put some hard earned money into this company and I'll admit, the game design and franchises are industry leading, but when you try to twist the consumers arm with these irritating middleman requirements, you disgrace not only the consumer, but EA's own dedicated designers. I've heard hundreds of complaints from America, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, South Korea and Peru on these god forsaken utter crapshoots of marketing strategies EA is using. So I've got backbone when I say EA won't be getting another dollar out of me. I can see from miles away that I work far too hard and will end up paying far too much for the far too little EA will bring to the table. I saw NFS Heat at Walmart for less than twenty USD, but when I looked on the EA website it was over seventy USD I mean it is truly awe inspiring that I could pay less for a game system than for the actual game I'm using it with. It blows my frickin mind.

Funny story: Follow these instructions and your Continue button will work perfectly. I'm on my third career without one problem on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit.
1) Open your Device Manager and highlight the Mice and other pointing devices section.
2) Start NFS Pro Street (it will not start with mouse disabled) and get to the Main Menu.
3) Alt+Tab over to the Device Manager and use your mouse to disable the mice listed under Mice and other pointing devices.
4) As soon as your mouse stops working, immediately Alt+Tab over to Need for Speed and play away. Your continue button will work flawlessly.
5) When you're done playing Alt+Tab back over to the Device Manager and your cursor will still be on the mouse option that disabled it.
6) Hit Enter to bring up the Properties window, hit Tab once to move it to the Enable Device button, then hit the space bar three times. Your mouse is back on.
7) Close the game with your mouse (just out of spite) and remember these few easy steps.
*Unplugging the mouse does not work, sadly.
Evidently there is some problem with the mouse on your desktop stealing focus in Windows 8, I noticed it when I had a mouse cursor in the game on my main screen and saw my desktop mouse cursor moving around on my second monitor at the same time. The two are out of sync somehow and it nerfs the works. This is working for me with Autosave on and off, cracked and non-cracked .EXE, with and without cheat codes, no Gameboost or whatever it is. I did it with both a Logitech gamepad and a Logitech steering wheel and pedals, it's all a matter of having the pad and buttons assigned the right way. After doing this twice, it takes less than fifteen seconds total to do and I get to play one of my fave racing games without worry.
Oh, as a sidenote, those of you having the login problems who bought the game cheap from Origin and downloaded it, I suggest a disc copy. I paid very little for mine and I don't have to log in to a thing. I can cancel the "Connecting to EA" message as soon as it pops without issue. Enjoy boys and girls!

Hey there again,
I have been trying to figure out why the game has been freezing on me after finishing a race. Been testing a few things out as to why this happens but what seemts that going through the race menus too quickly affects the loading ability. So have been letting the menus load through properly before continuing and so far (i dont want to jinx it or whatever) it seems to work if you let the game it self take its time with loading.
I'm running a gaming laptop and it can handle CODMW3 and BF3 at full specs.
As a recap let the game load all the menus at the end of the race. Do not skip any of the menus wait for everything that can be loaded load. most of the races have about 2 or 3 menus that come up. Its the first menu that comes up with the statistics option beside the continue option. And yes i have repeated myself but meh.
I hope this helps other people with the problem
