Need for speed rivals autosave

I have played every need for speed since underground 2 and have always loved them, but tonight the new rivals had me furious, to the point i almost didnt touch it again. I played for 3 and a half hours after work, beat all of the drift missions, the drag, the offroading and then i was on the last race for the chick that likes to smash cop cars, suddenly there was a power surge and the power shut off for 2 seconds and when i opened the game i had lost all of that gameplay. I have to completely start over now and i dont even see an option more saving manually. What the hell. Please fix this issue, if this happens again i am no longer going to play.
