need for speed rivals multiplayer

Why can't I ever get intoa game with people on my friends list been trying for 3 days now you guys made new system to where it's supposed to automatically join up with friends and it has never worked and since you guys got rid of lobby's it's impossible to play together
I know i can switch my all drive to friends game set up but I don't want to always play against comp AI so please help me if you can.
